The design of the B50 has been inspired by airplane building and is a reminder of the riveted wings of large turboprops. The model designation underlines the similarities by putting the first letter of the designers name before the model number. The design goal was to create an acoustically ideal yet slender and beautiful speaker system that would easily fit into any living environment, despite its size. The B50 is a three-way full-range speaker with internal passive crossover. Similar to the larger B99, the B50 sports a highly sophisticated cabinet with an acoustically decoupled chamber for the crossover.
